Bio
Julia has always been a little rascal at heart. It began with her induction into The Crumbum Club - an elite collective founded by her Zayda and comprised of her siblings and cousins. Their mission was simple: disrupt the status quo and entertain chaos by putting on a show. The Crumbums would craft original parodies, plays, and short films to be shared with the adults (The Slug Bugs) - often in return for a kosher meatball. This is where Julia found her calling.
Now as a rugrat all grown up, Julia Getz continues to spread the Crumbum gospel by bringing humor, experimentation, play, and gumption to everything she does.
Julia graduated from Emerson College with a BFA in Theatre Education & Performance with a Minor in Comedy Writing & Performance. She is best known for her commercial debut in the original cast production of Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol at the Emerson Colonial Theatre in Boston. On opening night, Dolly unofficially knighted her with an imaginary medal of approval (Dolly shook her hands and said “You did real good”). Now everything that Julia’s hands touch turn to glitter and gold.
